Thought it would be a good idea to reproduce the book cover of “Beer and Bagels for Breakfast by John Carson, only to realise that there was no beer on the front cover. The bagels were well received and not too difficult to make.

Apart from Bagels and no beer the front cover has a great view of the Old City from the Mount of Olives but a trip just to recreate a book cover seems a bit over the top. I have been there relatively recently, in 2017, but needless to say that particular book was not uppermost in my mind.

What was uppermost was this book, ‘My Promised Land’ by Ari Shavit, which I was listening to at the time on Audible.
